Ferrets are strict carnivores - they are unable to digest fruits and vegetables - they lack a cecum in the stomach. Cat food is unacceptable - it has to many grains, corn as one of the ingredients in pet food can lead to blockage in ferrets and that can cause a ferret to die. It is advisable to feed a high quality ferret food, with the first three ingredients being meat based. If ferret food is unobtainable, a high quality kitten food, like Iams can be an alternative. Carbs and especially sugar (pet treats are high in sugar) are very bad to include in a ferrets diets and can lead to disease.
