Taking Pride in their Ingredients: Wellness Brand Pet Food

Wellness pet food reviews tout the natural ingredients that are used in the Wellness brand pet foods for dogs and cats. While many pet foods in the stores will contain artificial ingredients, by products, soy and other ingredients that are not good for animals to consume and can lead to sickness and disease, Wellness brand pet foods do not contain these things, leading to a healthier life for dogs and cats.

See the Difference

Most pet foods for dogs and cats that are found in the stores contain a wheat by-product as the first ingredient. This means that the left over material from the wheat processing plants that make human ingredients are then put into the dog or cat food as filler material, giving little to no nutritional value to the pets. The more expensive dog and cat foods will have meat by products as the first ingredient, which seems like it would be better for the dogs and cats to consume, being closer to what they would consume in nature. However, these ingredients also are the waste materials that are not used in human consumption, such as the lungs, brains, bones, feathers, feet and other waste materials from the processing plants. These also contain little to no nutritional value for the pets.

Wellness brand pet foods do not contain any of these by product ingredients. Instead they use easily digestible whole grains and whole meats so that the animals end up with a healthier body and coat. In addition, they refuse to use any of the artificial preservatives in their pet foods which have been proven to cause harm to the animals. Wellness brand pet foods also do not contain any artificial colors and flavors, since they are using great ingredients there is not need for these flavorings, in addition to the health problems that they have been shown to cause in pets as well as humans. Like humans as well, too many sweeteners or too much salt can cause problems in animals as well, so Wellness brand pet foods use as little as possible in their dog and cat foods.

In addition to having better ingredients, the Wellness brand pet food does not cost any more than the other high grade pet foods that are sold in pet stores such as Science Diet. In grocery stores, the higher end dog foods cost as much as Wellness brand pet foods and yet they do not contain the natural ingredients that are found in Wellness brand, thus it leaves consumers with a lesser product for the same price.
