Cat Breed Ideas
If you are interested in getting a cat and want to find a cat breeder, before you can even start trying to find a breeder you will need to determine the type of cat breed that you are interested in. There are a few different cat breed ideas in particular which are popular and which you may want to consider, and which will be discussed here in more detail.
Tabby Cat
One of the most popular cat breed ideas is the tabby cat. The tabby cat is a cat with a distinctive coat that features stripes, dots or swirling patterns. There are actually four different tabby patterns that have been shown to be genetically distinct which are: mackerel, classic, spotted and tickled.
These are very popular family pets, and are beautiful and wonderful to look at. The mackerel tabby pattern is actually the most common pattern, and these cats have striped rings around their tail and legs and bands of solid or broken stripes running down the sides of their bodies. They will also have the darker color in spots running in two lines across their tummies.
Siamese
Another of the most popular and well known cat breed options is the Siamese. These cats are thought of by many as being some of the most violent cats, but this is actually not true and it is really all in how you breed them.
The traditional Siamese is an intelligent, people-oriented cat which enjoys human companionship whether that be as a lap winner or chasing a toy. They actually have quite a calm temperament and are well-adapted to life in either a house or apartment.
Balinese
The last cat breed to be discussed here but just one of many others you have available to choose from, is the Balinese. This breed of cat is perfect for the pet lover who wants a more unusual cat. Traditional Balinese cats and kittens are not only loving and playful, but extremely intelligent, being ranked most intelligent among all longer-haired cats while their coats shed minimally.
If you want to make sure that you choose just the right breed of cat for you and your family, your best bet is going to be to work with a breeder or trainer who will be able to assess your living situation and help you determine which breed will be most suitable to that lifestyle.
Any of these cats would make a welcome addition to the home, but you want to make sure that you choose the right cat for you and your lifestyle.
