Make sure that the meat is raw, and dog must be given some raw bones, as cooked bones tend to splinter. If vegetables are not pureed, they will be excreted undigested. Wild animals get their vegetable content by eating the intestinal contents of their prey.
A good raw pet food recipe for a doggie treat is to mix ¾ cup of broth, 1/3 cup of margarine, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp powdered milk, 1 beaten egg, garlic powder and 3 c whole wheat flour. Mix hot water and margarine in a large bowl, and add milk, garlic powder, egg and slat. Now add flour gradually, and knead for few minutes. Roll out and cut out shapes. Bake for 50 min at 350 degrees. Allow to cool and dry till they become hard.
Banana mutt cookies is another delicious raw pet food recipe, and you need 1 ½ c mashed bananas, ½ tsp vanilla, 3 c oats, ¼ applesauce and ½ c chopped peanuts. Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl, and drop the spoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Using a fork, make them flat. Preheat oven at 350 degrees, and bake for 15 minutes. Cool completely and store in the airtight container.

Why is it that nearly all of the raw dog food recipes I see include garlic in the ingredients? Garlic and onions are POISONOUS to dogs, not only in large amounts, but cumulatively.
